From the south, take the M6 northbound linking onto the M74. leaving at the exit signed A75 Dumfries and Stranraer. Follow the A75 for approximately 60 miles to Twynholm.

From the north, take the M74 southbound and exit the motorway at the turn off for Dumfries on to the A701. Follow this road to Dumfries where you turn on to the A75 heading west to Twynholm, approximately 28 miles from Dumfries.
There are regular bus services that come through the village from both Stranraer and Dumfries.
